Medalists from this year's Paris Olympics will be participating in the 105th National Sports Festival, which opens on the 11th.

This year's National Sports Festival will be held from the 11th to the 17th at 75 stadiums, including Gimhae Sports Complex in Gyeongnam, with 47 official events and 2 demonstration events.

In this competition, in which 19,000 athletes and 9,000 officials will participate, 40 of the 46 medalists who won medals at this year's Paris Olympics will compete and display their 'world-class' skills for the honor of their hometown.

Among these, baseball/softball, badminton, and taekwondo will be held as pre-game matches.

An Se-young (Samsung Life Insurance), winner of the women's singles badminton event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, will represent Busan in the women's general team preliminary round to be held at the Miryang 토토 Badminton Stadium in Gyeongnam on the 9th.

An Se-young did not participate in the Japan Open and Korea Open in August and September, and this National Sports Festival will be her first competition since the Olympics.

In particular, Ahn Se-young stirred controversy by speaking about various areas, including injury management, national team training and operation methods, and the association's decision-making system, through interviews immediately after winning the Olympic gold medal, and so special attention is focused on her participation in this Games.

In the case of Taekwondo, which was also held as a preliminary match, Paris Olympic bronze medalist Da-Bin Lee (Seoul City Hall) won a bronze medal in the women's 73 kg class held at Gimhae Gymnasium on the 6th.

Among the Paris Olympic gold medalists, the first athlete to complete the schedule of this Games was Taekwondo athlete Kim Yu-jin (Ulsan City Hall), who advanced to the finals of the women's 57 kg class on the 7th and was one win away from winning the gold medal.

Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall) and Im Si-hyeon (Korea National Sport University), who won three gold medals in archery for both men and women, will begin their schedule for the Games on the 12th, while fencing athlete Oh Sang-uk (Daejeon City Hall) will compete on the opening day, the 11th.

Kim Ye-ji (Imsil County Office), a silver medalist who has gained worldwide popularity in shooting, will begin her medal hunt on the 13th.

Table tennis players Shin Yu-bin (copyright), Jeon Ji-hee (Mirae Asset Securities), and judo players Kim Min-jong (Yangpyeong County Office) and Ahn Ba-ul (Namyangju City Hall) will not be participating in this year's Games.
